Job o’ the Day: Entry-Level Foreclosure Law Clerk for New Jersey Judiciary’s Office of Foreclosure

The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking recent law school graduates with strong communication and analytical skills for immediate appointment as Foreclosure Law Clerks to be assigned to the General Equity Presiding Judge for Mercer County. The selected candidates will perform specialized technical work in the Office of Foreclosure, including screening and review of foreclosure pleadings, motions, and other case filings for legal sufficiency and accuracy.

In addition, the selected candidates will assist in the preparation of written reports, writs, orders, and other court documents to prepare foreclosure cases for final disposition and support entry of a final judgment. The Foreclosure Law Clerks will also be exposed on a regular periodic basis to the full range of General Equity matters in chambers. The selected candidates will be expected to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Judges, other Judiciary employees, Vicinage trial court staff, legal professionals, title companies, self-represented litigants and the public.
