Washington Council of Lawyers’ Summer Brown Bag Lunch: Part Deaux
by Ashley Matthews, PSJD Fellow
If you’re interning or working in Washington, DC for the summer, and interested in affordable housing litigation, this one’s for you!
On July 17th, the Washington Council of Lawyers (WCL) is hosting a brown-bag lunch panel on “Making an Impact using Litigation and Advocacy: The Affordable Housing Case Study“. The event is being held at Bread for the World, a nonprofit dedicated to ending hunger and poverty. Julie Becker (Legal Aid Society for the District of Columbia) and Jenny Reed (DC Fiscal Policy Institute) will present a case study on using lawsuits and community action to protect the rights of low-income tenants and homeowners.
If you go, bring your own lunch. WCL will supply the drinks, dessert and discussion. RSVP here!
Also, mark your calendars: On July 24th, WCL will be hosting a meet-and-greet during the happiest of hours. We’ll see you there!
